This role is based in our London office, with the expectation to be onsite 1-2 days a week.


About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable data solutions. Working across multi-disciplinary teams to build robust pipelines, support AI initiatives, and ensure data governance compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on mentoring, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.

You thrive in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment where data is central to innovation and decision-making. Not just a coder — you understand how data engineering fits into the bigger picture. Designing scalable solutions that support business goals, and comfortable influencing decisions through data-driven insights.


You enjoy mentoring others and building strong relationships across teams. Able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and help them make informed decisions.


Excited by new technologies and trends in data engineering. Actively seeking opportunities to improve systems and processes, and not afraid to step outside your comfort zone to learn and apply new skills.


Qualifications

  • Cloud Data Engineering: Proven experience building pipelines on platforms like Azure or Snowflake. Experience with a wide variety of data structures (data warehouses, data lakes) to service business data needs.
  • Programming: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Agile & DevOps: Experience with CI/CD, automation, and agile delivery environments.
  • Collaboration: Skilled in managing team dynamics and communicating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Deep understanding of data structures, common problems and resolution techniques.
  • Innovation: Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change.
  • Learning Mindset: Passion for staying current with data engineering trends and applying new knowledge.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and/or implementing machine learning models at scale.
