Role description:
This role is a unique chance to work within Arcadis Intelligence’s Solution Architecting, Systems & Data group, providing services including Data Migration and Integration, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, Big Data and Analytics, Software, API and Service development capabilities within our multi-discipline solutions delivery teams.
You will get to work on some of the largest and most complex solution delivery engagements across a variety of industry sectors. Projects are varied, some involve working with Arcadis’s software product instances to securely migrate data from multiple data sources and integrate with customer’s other business systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, various Oracle products and others. Other projects involve developing a stand-alone business solution or additional customer-specific functionality to Arcadis products.
The role is techno-functional, focused on customer liaison, leading the data analysis of large data projects. You will be delivering as a key contributor in the Systems and Data group, working on a range of assignments including data migration, integration and systems development.
This role is to work closely with customers, Solution Architecture, Data architecture, Data & Software Engineers, Functional teams and QA teams to enable technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including demonstrations, requirements gathering, results presentation and training.
You will manage activities such as ETL, integration and development, as sub-projects within large program implementations and may be a coach to junior staff within the Systems & Data group.
Role accountabilities:
Data design and development including the following:
Perform source system data analysis to manage source to target data mapping.
Identify & manage data mapping challenges and risks and design data migration and integration solutions, taking a Data Ops Approach. Perform data migration audit, reconciliation, and exception reporting.
Develop and construct products and services and integrate them into systems and business processes and drive quality and innovation by identifying and disseminating best practice approaches and tooling.
Support the data validation through the journey data migration solution. Design and build data models and database schemas for software projects and test static data and transaction data from one core system to another.
Ensure that all data is always handled securely and in line with the customer’s requirements and ensure that all development considers data and user security.
Software design and development including the following: Design, build and unit test, services and software components. This may include services that interact with commonly used components such as Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub and others, or building RESTful APIs.
Work with front end developers to build web and mobile applications that integrate effectively with the data models, schemas and services required by the solution.
Other responsibilities including the following:
Gain detailed knowledge of Arcadis products including their respective architecture, features, data models and integration points (APIs etc.) for effectively delivering the data solutions. Technical leadership in development of our Consulting solutions in both data, services and front-end development. Ensure that solution design fully meets the client’s needs and delivers value in terms of realization of business benefits. Wherever possible ensure that the solution design has the potential to be offered to other clients with minimal re-work to maximize future revenue. Manage outputs and quality throughout delivery of a project ensuring all work packages align to the project scope.
Also, provide support for business development including: Technical sales support including software demonstrations, writing proposals for client projects & scope changes and convert them to sales and identifying opportunities to generate additional revenue and develop new revenue streams.
Qualifications & Experience:
As an ideal candidate, you will have a background in computer science and/or significant relevant consulting experience in IBM Maximo migration projects of asset intensive industries. You will have a strong understanding of IBM Maximo an asset management product and the data model.
You will have a good all-round skill set in full stack development which may or may not be gained in the context of IBM Maximo. You will have good leadership and organizational skills. A keen interest in the latest technologies is important, to help ensure that the product (as well as Arcadis in general) stays on the cutting edge.
More importantly than these skills, however, we are looking for someone to be a solution leader, pushing forward the boundaries of what we do, and the standards expected of the wider Arcadis Intelligence solutions teams. You will always look to find the next improvement in what Arcadis does, and how we do it.
We are looking for someone who with the following skills:
Data migration, integration & management experience in line with the following.
IBM Maximo Data migration experience in complex system integration environment.
Worked as the equivalent of a Data consultant/analyst as all or part of your role with related customer coordination experience in collected data, analyzing data, mapping to data, and finally migration into the target environment and is well versed with IBM Maximo data model and experience of earlier migration from multiple sources.
Experience of delivery of IBM Maximo data migration in client facing roles and experience of managing multiple versions of data transformation rules and data validation in multiple data migration cycles. You can also demonstrate the Data migration cycle output to the customer + Identify Data quality issues and have the fixes in place.
Technical Skills:
Experience and understanding of secure development practices include OWASP guidelines/top 10, SOC 2, and NCSC cloud security principles.
Experience in data and orchestration tools including some of dbt, Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory.
Experience in programming languages including some of Python, Typescript, Javascript, R, Java, C#, producing services, APIs, Function Apps or Lambdas.
The use of various standard data formats including CSV, TSV, Json, XML and Avro.
Experience with source Git based control systems, perhaps, GitHub or Bitbucket.
Demonstrable skills in database management including some of Snowflake, Postgres, IBM DB2, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB & associated management tools.
Experience with unit testing in a variety of languages and tools. Perhaps experience of Junit, NUnit, XUnit.
Experience in the use of automated or BDD, using some of Cucumber, JMeter, Webdriver IO or PactumJS.
Experience of using and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
Demonstrable experience of modern cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
Understanding and experience of some of the following, NodeJS client & server side development, Angular & Typescript front end development, CCS, HTML, CSS pre-processors such as Sass and Less.
Other skills:
Understanding of various relevant published standards including some of ISO27001, ISO5500, IETF standards, W3C standards, particularly WCAG 2. Closely work with technical stakeholders including, engineers, architects and asset management consultants. Able to relay complex technical detail to non-technical audiences. Mathematical, statistical analysis and modelling skills would be advantageous. Experience of working for a large asset owning company, or on projects for such companies, would be advantageous. Proven ability in presenting methodologies and results to all levels in a business environment.
