The Client

My client is an Investment Management firm based in the City of London who are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team.

The Role
This role is crucial for developing their data warehouse and centralising data across the business. Reporting to the Head of Digital Transformation, you'll manage the full data lifecycle, specialising in ETL processes, data collection from various sources, high-speed data cleansing, and thorough testing and validation to ensure data integrity. You'll also be a key player in stakeholder interaction, translating requirements into effective data warehouse solutions for calculations and data movements.

  • Lead data migration and ETL processes: Direct the migration of data and design, implement, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.
  • Manage Snowflake data warehouse: Build, maintain, and enhance the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring it's scalable and resilient for future reporting.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity: Conduct thorough data cleansing, validation, and testing to maintain high standards of data integrity across all systems and troubleshoot data quality issues.
  • Develop automation and support: Create and maintain Python scripts and data pipelines for automation and streamlined processes, while also supporting and mentoring team members.
  • Collaborate and apply industry knowledge: Work with business users on data management, and identify and resolve issues within financial lending datasets using industry expertise.

Your Profile

To apply for this role you will be a strong Data Engineer who has at least 4 years of Engineering experience in a similar role. The client is a Microsoft house and are looking for someone with Snowflake and Python with extensive ETL experience. As well as strong technical skills the client is looking for someone who has exquisite communications skills and can be the face of Data within the business.

Salary and Benefits
The role pays £85,000 - £95,000 plus a bonus if up to 20%. This role is also hybrid and doesn't need you to be in the office more than 3 days a week.
