Senior Data Engineer

We’re building a modern, enterprise-scale data platform—and we’re looking for aSenior Data Engineerto help drive this forward using Azure, Databricks, and lakehouse architecture. What You'll Be Doing:

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will:

• Design and implement modern data architectures (lakehouse, medallion) using Azure and Databricks
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, quality validation tools, and lineage tracking systems
• Optimise and manage MS SQL and Azure SQL databases
• Use Azure Data Factory, Python, and cloud-native tools to build efficient ETL processes
• Deliver clean, insightful data outputs through PowerBI dashboards and reports
• Ensure strong governance, data integrity, and security across platforms
• Work closely with cross-functional teams using Agile methods and JIRA
• Support deployment through CI/CD pipelines and robust documentation

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years’ experience in data engineering within enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of SQL, data modelling, and cloud-native tools (Azure, Databricks)
• Strong Python skills and experience with automation, ETL, and AI-driven data solutions
• Hands-on experience with lakehouse architecture, Data Lakes, and medallion design
• Familiarity with PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, and modern DevOps practices
• Strong communicator with excellent documentation and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience in financial services or regulated sectors is highly desirable
• Strategic thinker who can align technical solutions with business goals
