About the Role


As a Senior Data Engineer at LexisNexis Intellectual Property (LNIP), you will be designing, building, and maintaining complex data systems to support business needs. Utilizing your expertise, you’ll contribute to maintaining a Data Platform that serves our crucial and critical product. Your role will be critical in ensuring the integrity, security, and accessibility of business-critical data..

Responsibilities


  • Work across our ecosystem of products and Data Platforms.
  • Collaborate with technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure supporting real-time data processing.
  • Implement scalable data ingestion and pipelines for unified data management.
  • Apply development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Design APIs for diverse business units, ensuring efficient data lineage tracking.
  • Utilize DataOps principles to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Automate system lifecycle management for robustness and scalability.
  • Integrate advanced data engineering techniques and tools to streamline processes.
  • Resolve technical issues as necessary.
  • Stay updated with new technology developments.


Requirements


  • Experience in SQL Server, Data Lake (Azure/AWS).
  • Proficiency in Python is preferred.
  • Extensive modern Data Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of large-scale data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and cloud-native tools (Azure Synapse, RedShift).
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Agile.
  • Experience with analytics technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
  • Test-driven development experience.


Nice to Have

  • Understanding of Clickhouse, Druid, PostgreSQL, Databricks, Delta Share & Delta Lake.
  • Ability to work with complex Patent and Litigation data models.
  • Experience with Pandas & PySpark
