Harnham are partnering with a fully digital InsurTech which aims to make insurance more available, cheaper and fit-for-purpose. This company is looking for a head of data engineering to grow the current team and build the data platform.

THE COMPANY

They were founded in the last decade and help compare prices at a grand scale of insurance advertising the best products from their clients. This company aims to double from their current 100 heads as they are on track to go 3x this year.

THIS ROLE

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be…

  • Designing, building and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines
  • Develop and optimise data architectures to support the business requirements
  • Monitor and improve the performances of data systems
  • Contribute to the organisations data strategy by identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions for data management challenges

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering
  • Utilising cloud platforms specifically Azure
  • Experience with utilising Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, SQL, dbt and Postgres.
