About the company:

This company is a global media business currently undergoing a digital transformation. As they expand, they are adding to their already strong data team, a Senior Data Engineer. This person will play a critical role in supporting internal projects to enable the scaling of the data infrastructure.

Role Overview:The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architecture. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, communicating with a number of internal stakeholders when gathering requirements and providing feedback on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based analytics and data platforms.
• Architect and maintain large-scale data pipelines, ensuring robust data flow, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize and implement data solutions that prioritize user needs and enhance user experiences.
• Support data integration across multiple functional business areas, understanding and connecting how each area’s data requirements and insights contribute to overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in a cloud-based data service - ideally Azure .
• Proven experience building large-scale, high-profile data and analytics platforms, delivering business impact across functional areas.
• Expertise across Python, PySpark, Databricks and SQL
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
