The Opportunity:

As we scale our data infrastructure to meet the growing complexity and volume of the crypto ecosystem, we're hiring a

Senior Data Engineer

to architect, build, and optimize systems that power our customer-facing analytics product.
This role offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into technical challenges while preparing for a future managerial position. You will start as an individual contributor, with a

clear path to becoming an Engineering Manager

within 12–18 months.
You will collaborate with a team of data engineers and ML engineers to solve complex technical problems with real-world impact—powering tools used daily by thousands of crypto investors, builders, and institutions.
What You'll Do:

Design, build, and scale performant data pipelines and infrastructure using ClickHouse, BigQuery, Python, and dbt.
Handle large-scale data challenges, processing terabytes of streaming and batch data daily.
Collaborate closely with crypto researchers, backend engineers, and product managers to shape data modeling, surface data, and product features.
Ensure high standards for data quality, reliability, and observability across all systems.
Mentor junior data engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
Stay current with best practices and continuously evolve your toolkit.
Leverage AI tools and agents such as Cursor, MCPs, and LLMs to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance quality.
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in building and scaling high-performance data systems in production.
Deep expertise in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience with dbt, ClickHouse, and BigQuery.
Strong understanding of streaming data architectures and large-scale data handling.
Full-stack data experience from ingestion and transformation to storage, modeling, and serving.
Experience with AI-powered development tools and curiosity to explore their potential.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable working remotely and asynchronously.
Experience leading small project teams.
Pragmatic, execution-focused mindset valuing fast feedback, clean architecture, and scalable design.
Interest or experience in blockchain data structures, crypto, and Web3 technologies.
