Senior Data Engineer (Azure)


I am recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer (Azure) to work for a client who is driven by SaaS products and solutions. This is a crucial hands on senior data engineer role, for someone to come into the business and make an impact and change.


Experience

  • Lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable data architecture solutions on the Azure platform.
  • Strong Data Warehouse experience, hands-on experience with designing, building, and managing DW ideally using Kimball methodology.
  • Hands on with Azure tooling, expertise in Azure Data Factory ADF (ETL processes), Azure SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Key Vaults, and Logic Apps.
  • Experience in optimizing data loads to ensure reliability, scalability, and high performance, with a focus on reducing processing times and improving efficiency.
  • Data Modelling skills such as proven ability to design efficient and scalable DW architectures, creation of robust staging and production layers.
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Forward-Thinking Vision with a solid understanding of advanced data technologies and practices.
  • Hands on with Integration such as integrating data from a range of sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency throughout the ETL process.
  • The ability to work closely with the wider business, stakeholders, and other teams to align data solutions with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile workflows.
  • Nice to have experience with SSIS, PowerShell scripting, Alteryx analytics platform, Microsoft Power BI to support data visualization.


This is a permanent role and can be based remotely anywhere in the UK, office is located in London. The role offers a salary between £65,000 - £75,000, holidays include 30 days plus bank holidays, private healthcare, 9% non contributory pension.
