We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an advanced analytics business who provide insights for ecommerce customers. As an organisation they have experienced amazing success over the last few years and are now rapidly expanding. The platform they have built is trusted by some of the worlds most recognisable eCommerce brands.

The Role

As aSenior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling the data infrastructure that powers decision-making across the business. You will design and maintain robust data pipelines, ensure high data quality, and collaborate closely with analytics, engineering, and data science teams to drive insights and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data models that support analytics, machine learning, and reporting needs.
  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable ELT processes using modern data stack technologies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability across multiple sources and systems.
  • Define and promote data quality standards across the organization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of the data roadmap and architecture strategy.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Champion process improvements and advocate for best practices in data engineering.
  • Stay informed on emerging tools, frameworks, and practices in the data space.


Requirements

  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL.
  • Proficient in Python for data engineering tasks.
  • Solid understanding of ELT pipelines, data architecture, and data modeling.
  • Experience with modern data transformation tools such asdbt.
  • Familiarity with AWS-based data pipeline services and cloud architecture.
  • Comfortable working in agile teams and cross-functional environments.
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and their application in data-driven systems.
