Senior Data Assurance Officer

£38,000 PRO RATA (£21.09p/h) - 5-month FTC - 35h/week (August Start)

Flexible working - 1x a week (Central London)

Higher Education industry experience is ESSENTIAL (SITS Student Records System)

Key responsibilities

Act as the primary contact for colleagues with operational enquiries regarding the quality of student data across the university and to triage, investigate and escalate as appropriate.
Provide support to the Data Governance team and colleagues in the provision of any reporting requirements and assist with any related queries.
Support reviews of current processes with stakeholders and project teams to explore whether more efficient alternatives are available.
Correct and identify the root causes of data issues and create and maintain data error reporting.
Audit and validate the data used for HESES, HESA returns and ensure that any other regulatory requirements are met.
Support the creation of guidance and training materials.
Raise awareness of data quality governance and compliance requirements.
Supporting the generation of HEARs/ROARs/online transcripts for students and troubleshooting issues.

Skills & Experience

Excellent IT skills including experience of Office software (word-processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, web etc.)
Knowledge of and previous experience working with SITS (student records management system)
Working knowledge of the higher education sector landscape for student data and experience/knowledge of HESA would be desirable
