Software Engineer (Taunton – Hybrid)

£38,000 - £45,000 + bonus, training, progression, private pension and holiday buying options.


Are you an experienced Software Engineer looking to work across modern microservices and established WPF applications while influencing key architectural decisions? You will design, develop and maintain software used in demanding industrial environments, working with C#, WPF, front‑end languages such as Vue.JS, Angular or React. You will collaborate with electrical and systems engineers, contribute to system architecture and support both new platform development and legacy product improvement. This role offers strong technical variety, career progression and a supportive engineering culture.



  • Solid commercial experience and excellent understanding of SOLID principles.
  • Confidence contributing to design discussions.
  • Exposure to industrial systems or electronics is beneficial.
  • Experience in an agile environment, on projects ranging from a few months to 18+ months.

The Role:



  • Develop desktop and web applications using C#, WPF and Vue.js.
  • Contribute to microservice architecture and Azure-based modernisation.
  • Support and improve legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers.
  • Participate in sprints, reviews and CI/CD processes.

The Person:



  • Experienced Software Engineer with strong design skills.
  • Proficient in C#, WPF and modern software practices.
  • Collaborative and confident in technical discussions.
  • Electronic or industrial knowledge is an advantage.

Bid Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced SC cleared Bid Manager to join their team, focused on bidding into our Secure Government Market clients. Key responsibilities include managing the bid from capture to handover, developing the Bid Plan, facilitating stakeholder and competitor analysis, and ensuring compliance with the Shipley process.



  • Own Bid Management Plan and bid budget.
  • Plan and schedule required meetings and workshops.
  • Develop overall Bid Plan with the Bid Director.
  • Build and oversee bid team, commercial and pricing model.
  • Describe win themes, storyboards, and wireframes.
  • Maintain bid data in CRM and provide detailed handover after award.

Requirements:



  • Experience delivering bids from inception to award.
  • Familiarity with Shipley, Miller Heiman, and Office365, MS Project, CRM.
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
  • High-level security clearance required (DV).

Vulnerability Remediation Packager – Windows Devices Team

Responsible for identifying, packaging, and deploying secure application updates to address vulnerabilities across enterprise Windows environments.



  • Attend vulnerability management calls.
  • Repackage and remediate applications using AdminStudio, InstallShield, PowerShell.
  • Deploy packages via MECM and Intune.
  • Coordinate testing, controlled deployments, and change management.
  • Maintain documentation for audit and compliance.

Key Skills:



  • Windows application packaging, PowerShell, MECM, Intune.
  • Vulnerability management and patch remediation processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience in enterprise environments and Agile frameworks.

Cloud Resource Manager – VMware

Manage VMware‑based infrastructure resources, ensuring SLAs and continuous improvement of IT service performance.



  • Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of cloud resource services.
  • Execute resource management processes and maintain forecasts.
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify risks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for scalability and flexibility.

Experience:



  • Proven cloud resource management, VMware infrastructure experience.
  • ITIL v3/v4 certified preferred.

Lead User Researcher – CustomerFirst

Shape how research is conducted across complex portfolios, provide strategic direction and lead a team of researchers.



  • Develop and assure good research practice across multiple teams.
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of user research.
  • Analyse data and synthesize actionable findings.
  • Mentor other researchers and contribute to the wider user research community.
  • Provide line management and leadership to the research team.

VIP Premium Desktop IT Support

Provide high‑level desktop support to senior executives of a large financial organisation.



  • Resolve incidents via telephone service desk tools.
  • Maintain relationships with other support teams and external providers.
  • Participate in testing new applications and hardware.
  • Support remote working and give customer coaching.

Requirements:



  • Minimum 5 years of service desk or 2nd line desktop support experience.
  • Experience providing IT support remotely and face‑to‑face.

Support the CO Information Management and Standards Framework.



  • Monitor, maintain, and develop IM systems.
