Position: Senior Data Analyst

Job Description:

As a Senior Data Analyst at Ocean, you will utilize your analytical skills and inquisitive mindset to drive actionable insights that support business decisions and enhance customer outcomes. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, transform complex data, develop analytical solutions, and effectively communicate your findings. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze complex datasets to identify customer behavior patterns and product performance insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  2. Design and build automated dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau to track key business metrics and support data-driven decision making.
  3. Collaborate with business teams to understand their analytical needs and develop solutions that drive business value.
  4. Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  5. Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, utilizing data to tell compelling stories that drive action.
  6. Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape.
  7. Have the opportunity to work on other projects, such as evaluating the potential impact of new products and setting up analytical frameworks.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles.
  2. Advanced skills in SQL and Excel.
  3. Knowledge of Python for data analysis.
  4. Experience with statistical analysis and data manipulation.
  5. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  6. Experience in the financial services or fintech sector.
  7. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  8. Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of key business metrics.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Highly proactive and takes ownership of their work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in the digital consumer credit space.
  2. Experience using Google Analytics or other market insight platforms.
  3. Experience with data transformation tools and practices (e.g., dbt, Spark SQL) to build and maintain basic data pipelines.
  4. Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Databricks).
  5. Experience with A/B testing and experimentation.
  6. Knowledge of machine learning concepts and applications.
  7. Background in mathematics, business analytics, computer science, economics, engineering, or a related field.
