Senior Data Analyst

Position Overview:

Fractal is looking for a proactive and drivenSenior Data Modeler and Analystto join ourData and Engineeringteamin London, UK. In this role, you will play a vital role as the client and team lead with hands-on involvement in project management, business interpretation and application of solutions, client communication, insights/results delivery. You will collaborate with your team and peers by developing resourcing plans, managing revenue goals, and contributing to new business development.

S/He is expected to work directly with the client in a fast-paced working environment to address their day-to-day analytics needs. They will need to address business problems by incorporating the business context to design and develop solutions that leverage statistical & advanced analytics methodologies. They should be able to form hypotheses and develop models to support decision making. They will be expected to build in efficiencies through standardization and automation. They will also be responsible for building a data infrastructure, identifying the various customer journeys and measuring the impact of marketing campaigns

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualisation tools. Ability to interpret data trends, patterns, and anomalies to derive meaningful insights.

Data Modelling Skills: proficiency in database design principles and data modeling techniques, providing data mappings to developers, creating and maintaining data catalogues

AWS Platform Knowledge: Understanding of AWS services relevant to data analytics, such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, and Amazon Athena. Familiarity with AWS data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts.

SQL and Database Skills:

Proficiency in SQL to query and manipulate data within AWS databases like Amazon Redshift.

Data Visualisation Tools: Proficiency in data visualisation tools like Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI to create dashboards and reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or equivalent experience in statistics, computer science, engineering, informatics, data science, or related field; additional business degree is a plus

5+ yrsoverall experience with at least 3+ years of hands on experience in running data analytics projects 

Strong background in Business analytics

Proficient in programming: Proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL

Experience with visualization tools preferably Tabalue

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate data-driven insights clearly.

Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to align data analytics efforts with organisationalobjectives. Ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations that contribute to business growth and efficiency.

Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset to identify business problems, analyzs root causes, and propose data-driven solutions. Ability to think critically and creatively to address challenges in data analysis and interpretation.

Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies, AWS services, and industry trends related to data analytics to enhance skills and knowledge.
