Power BI Developer – Data Integration & Reporting

Hybrid initially | Outside IR35


We’re seeking an experiencedPower BI Developeron a contract basis to lead a pivotal project aimed at reshaping our data infrastructure and reporting capabilities. This role isOutside IR35and will start on ahybrid basis, with initial time spent onsite to understand business needs and collaborate with stakeholders.


About the Role

As our Power BI expert, you'll be responsible for integrating Power BI across the business, transforming data from multiple sources into meaningful, actionable insights. You'll also drive the development of a centralized data strategy using theMicrosoft Fabric ecosystem(including Dataflows, Pipelines, and Lakehouse).

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and translate business requirements into intuitive, well-performing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Understand the business structure and processes to proactively suggest and build new reporting solutions.
  • Integrate and manage data from diverse sources using APIs and ODBC, including performing data modeling.
  • Reorganize data processes from source systems into a centralized repository with Microsoft Fabric tools.
  • Manage access controls and optimize report performance.
  • Train users and support business teams in leveraging data effectively.


Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in Power BI development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
  • SQL,M Query, andDAX
  • ETL frameworksanddatabase management systems
  • R scripting(a bonus)
  • Understanding of data integration and reporting in a professional services or operational environment.
  • Experience with or willingness to adopt theMicrosoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
