Job Description: Location: Flexible within the UK Contract Duration: 12 Months Fixed-Term Anticipated End Date: December 2025 Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a prominent global technology company , a leader in providing advanced IT and digital transformation solutions worldwide. This organisation, part of a larger global technology group, is renowned for its innovation in areas like cloud computing, analytics, enterprise mobility, and cybersecurity.
You'll be joining their Marketing Analytics team , a growing function at the forefront of integrating data across diverse digital channels. This team is key to delivering seamless customer experiences across a vast European market, driving insights that directly impact strategic marketing decisions.
You'll lead the development of user-facing BI solutions primarily within Looker , translating complex marketing data into actionable insights. A key part of your role will be mentoring a junior LookML developer . This is a hands-on role focused on empowering data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards, reports, and explorations.
Develop, optimise, and govern complex LookML models .
Mentor and guide a junior LookML developer.
Collaborate with marketing analysts to translate business needs into BI solutions.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency in Looker, working with data engineering.
Implement Looker governance, including version control and access management.
Optimise Looker performance and provide user training.
Contribute to BI development standards and stay updated on Looker/GCP trends.
Qualifications and Experience
Extensive experience as a BI Developer/Analytics Engineer, specialising in Looker (dashboarding, advanced LookML).
Strong SQL proficiency with cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery ).
Solid understanding of data warehousing and modelling.
Proven background in marketing data and analytics (e.g., campaign performance, web analytics).
Experience translating business requirements into data visualisations.
Familiarity with GCP data services.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
Relevant Looker or GCP certifications are advantageous.
