Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially aware Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to help drive smarter decision-making across JQB. This is a key role with the opportunity to shape how data is used throughout the business, from developing core reporting infrastructure to delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.

You’ll work closely with both the CFO and the Technology Director, leading the development of clear, consistent, and impactful reporting. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves turning data into stories and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build, maintain, and improve centralised dashboards and reporting tools across key business functions.

  • Collaborate with department heads to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting needs.

  • Standardise data definitions and ensure consistency across reporting sources.

  • Develop and automate reporting pipelines using PowerQuery, Power BI, and Excel.

  • Ensure high data quality and integrity through validation and governance practices.

  • Support the CFO and Technology Director with data-driven insights and ad hoc analysis.

  • Contribute to the development of a data-informed culture across the business.

    What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role.

  • Strong technical skills with SQL and/or PowerQuery, and experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).

  • Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI, and a solid grasp of data visualisation best practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to clearly communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Commercially savvy and team-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Interest and/or experience in leveraging AI tools and techniques to enhance data analysis, reporting, or automation.

    Bonus Points For

  • Experience in eCommerce, retail, or a high-growth business environment.

  • Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages for advanced analysis.

  • Experience implementing or contributing to data governance frameworks.

    Package

  • Salary: up to £55,000 depending on experience.

  • Employee bonus scheme - up to 30% based on company performance.
