Senior Business Data Analyst role at Global University Systems (GUS) within the UK College Division. This high-profile role represents an opportunity to support data-driven insights to guide business decision makers to optimise operational efficiency and drive growth initiatives across the UK Colleges Division. The role is business, technical and analytical in nature, involving end-to-end development and support of Business Intelligence solutions, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements through workshops and discussions.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and develop insightful dashboards and reports aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for BI solutions.
  • Build and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Monitor and optimise BI system performance and ensure high availability.
  • Ensure data accuracy and usability to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)
  • Strong ETL and data warehousing knowledge
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
  • Proven ability to deliver actionable insights from complex data
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to design and build scalable dashboards and reporting solutions tailored to business needs
