Exciting opportunity for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a dynamic Data Analytics team and help shape the future of reporting and analytics across fast paced, forward thinking, dynamic organisation.

About the Role

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering reporting and analytics capabilities, primarily using Power BI, across all areas of the business. Working closely with stakeholders, youll combine technical expertise with business insight to develop high-impact solutions in an Agile delivery environment.

With the recent launch of a new Data Platform leveraging embedded Power BI, you’ll have the opportunity to shape content development, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the rollout of AI-powered analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver insightful, accessible analytics solutions.
• Design and develop reporting solutions using Power BI, SSAS Tabular models, and AI tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring as a senior development lead on analytics initiatives.
• Enhance and support existing reports and dashboards.
• Drive performance optimisation and promote best practices across reporting solutions.
• Ensure robust testing and documentation of new developments.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in data, analytics, and AI to drive innovation.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all business functions.
• Manage and prioritise your own workload and ensure timely delivery of solutions.

What we are looking for:

• Proven expertise in SSAS (Tabular) data model development.
• Advanced skills in Power BI, including dashboards and paginated reports.
• Strong DAX skills and the ability to write/optimise complex T-SQL queries.
• Experience in applying AI tools to enhance analytics or business operations (desirable).
• Familiarity with Databricks, and predictive analytics is beneficial.
• Experience with Python for forecasting or scenario modelling.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Team player with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
