The SEM team is proud to be one of the most influential teams within Viator, responsible for getting travellers to our site whilst they are in the excitement of planning and booking things to do on their next trip.

The role

We’re looking for a passionate SEM professional with a drive to make a measurable impact. As a manager, you'll lead projects, manage junior colleagues and oversee daily channel operations while supporting the wider SEM team.

You'll thrive in our dynamic, innovative and collaborative environment, where autonomy, flexibility, and data-driven decision-making are key. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll present strategies and results to teams with varying SEM expertise and you'll collaborate with teams in data science, analytics, engineering and product.

The SEM team is split between London, Oxford and Boston (USA) and this role reports to the Senior SEM Manager. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team where autonomous decision-making, self-motivation and flexible thinking is encouraged. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future success of the company.

What You'll Do

  1. Manage large international SEM accounts across different search engines.
  2. Monitor and refine campaigns to achieve KPIs.
  3. Lead, train and develop a team of SEM specialists (including appraisals, workload management & providing guidance).
  4. Identify SEM growth opportunities and contribute to roadmaps.
  5. Analyse data to identify actionable insights.
  6. Propose, design and analyse tests (e.g. A/B tests, new ad formats).
  7. Work collaboratively with data scientists, analytics and engineers to improve processes and reporting.
  8. Stay ahead of paid search trends, AI automation and industry shifts.

What We Are Looking For

  1. 6+ years experience working in a PPC/SEM focused role, managing large international accounts and managing more junior team members.
  2. Deep understanding of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and the relative Editors. Experience with other engines and third party management tools is a bonus.
  3. Ability to work with large files and troubleshoot bulk upload files.
  4. Experience in contributing to roadmaps and designing and analysing tests.
  5. Expertise in optimising bids, budgets and ROI-driven strategies.
  6. Strong reporting skills: strong excel skills are necessary, knowledge and experience with SQL, Big Query, Looker Studio and other reporting tools is a bonus.
  7. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and excellent communication skills.
  8. Ability to present insights and strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  9. Experience with feed-based campaign types, AI tools and scripts to automate actions or set up alerts is a bonus.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  11. Genuine passion for learning and self-improvement, continuously seeking out new opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
