Business Intelligence Senior Manager (Marketing)

The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) offers a uniquely challenging and fulfilling opportunity for people interested in making a genuine difference to society.

DWP is the UK’s biggest government department: few other organisations globally provide the same opportunity to apply next-generation digital technology on a massive scale to issues which touch the lives of so many. We support over 20 million people every day to help them to find work and save for their future. We provide financial assistance worth over £180 billion each year to ensure that the most vulnerable in society are protected. With 800 locations and over 85,000 colleagues, we are bigger than most retail operations.

The Security Business Intelligence & Management Manager will work as part of the Engineering and Delivery Team in CRC, which is a dynamic, innovative, delivery-oriented team that leads work to develop and implement new security capabilities and technologies in support of CRC and Departmental security objectives.

We operate within a challenging multi-stakeholder environment, engaging with internal customers, delivery teams and stakeholders, as well as with external third-party suppliers and other Government Departments to support the build and maturity of DWP’s security capabilities.

The post holder will play a vital role in supporting the Deputy Director Head of the CRC and the Engineering and Delivery Team in the delivery of business objectives. The post requires close working with the CRC Deputy Director to support their day-to-day activity enabling them to influence and provide strategic direction for the CRC and the wider Security & Data Protection (S&DP) function. Often working with senior managers across CRC, S&DP and wider DWP, you will help to ensure the continued development, streamlining, maintenance and delivery of the CRC business.

This will involve taking ownership of specific areas of CRC Business Management structure and being responsible for the continuous improvement of those specific areas and communicating and helping to instil a culture of excellence and co-operation across the function.

There may be a significant amount of collaboration with senior leaders and their secretariats across Security, the wider DWP, Government and Industry.

The role is demanding and requires clear thinking, contingency planning, proactivity, quick and reasoned decision making and the confidence to challenge where appropriate. Diplomacy, tact, and the ability to maintain a professional attitude when under pressure are also essential qualities.

We are looking for someone able to undertake key activities within the fast-paced and continually changing environment, and who can demonstrate that they are a great communicator and collaborator, able to manage competing priorities and a complex mix of stakeholders whilst keeping a clear focus on delivering an exceptional service.

Please note this role requires vetting clearance at Security Check level. For further information, please see 'Security' section below.
