Are you an experienced Sea Import Operator looking for a new challenge in a dynamic freight forwarding environment? Our client, a leading and rapidly expanding freight forwarding company based in Manchester, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their thriving team.

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a forward-thinking business, handling a diverse range of sea import operations from start to finish. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and possess a strong understanding of sea freight procedures, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the end-to-end sea import process, from booking and documentation to customs clearance and delivery.
Liaising effectively with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Preparing and processing all necessary documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs entries, and delivery orders.
Handling customs clearance procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Proactively communicating with clients regarding shipment status and resolving any issues promptly.
Monitoring and tracking shipments, providing updates and troubleshooting delays.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity within the company's systems.
Negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a Sea Import Operator within a freight forwarding company.
In-depth knowledge of sea freight procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
Proficient in relevant freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proactive problem-solver with a strong customer service focus. What Our Client Offers:
