Job Specification: SAP ABAP/CDS DeveloperLocation: NewcastleClearance Requirement: SC/BPSS Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP/CDS Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with SAP Functional SMEs, Data Architects, and ETL Engineers to design, develop, and implement SAP data solutions supporting key performance indicators (KPIs). This role involves end-to-end development responsibilities, including designing SAP data structures, creating CDS views, and addressing issues during testing and post-go-live stages. Key ResponsibilitiesRequirement Analysis: Coordinate with SAP Functional SMEs to understand business requirements and design SAP data structures to meet KPI needs.Data Modelling: Collaborate with the Data Architect to document SAP data structures and develop CDS views based on the data model.Solution Design: Create SAP Solution Designs for the developed CDS Views, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.Testing and Documentation: Prepare and execute unit tests for CDS Views and create comprehensive test documentation.Transport Management: Handle and document the movement of transports, ensuring adherence to transport policies.Coordinate transport requests and approvals, including emergency or normal transport submissions.Collaboration with ETL Engineers: Coordinate data extraction requests with Talend ETL Engineers, providing specific data requirements.Support data extraction and resolve any issues encountered during the process.UAT and Issue Resolution: Investigate and address issues arising during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
