Privacy Counsel/Senior Privacy Counsel, 5+ PQE - Remote, must be basedin UK or Europe.


This is an exciting opportunity for a 5+ PQE lawyer to join a leading technology business with an award winning legal team within the new business and services team. This is a remote opportunity where you will be working with the team globally. You will join an excellent agile business who have a modern and flexible way of working to combine personal and professional life working from home. With an international team with a high focus on diversity. With offices just outside London that you can work from all week if preferred, and regular team meet ups.


You will provide advice and guidance to the new business teams, security partners, legal team, and other groups and functions responsible for ensuring the responsible use and protection of customer, user, and partner personal data and other sensitive information.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise the innovative and new products and services team on a comprehensive privacy program.
  • Lead privacy reviews for solutions and services across PC, mobile, infrastructure, and smart verticals, including managed and as-a-Service offerings.
  • Collaborate with the SSG legal team to align strategy, streamline processes, and ensure consistent guidance.
  • Monitor and report on privacy laws, regulations, and policies impacting SSG, its business functions, customers, and supply chain.
  • Support company-wide projects to implement privacy policies and data governance strategies.
  • Provide counsel on privacy incidents, mitigation efforts, and related agreements.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs.
  • Contribute to Global Privacy & Data Protection initiatives.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in privacy and legal support for software, services, and solutions, including managed and as-a-Service models.
  • Strong collaboration with internal teams, including legal, security, product development, marketing, sales, IT, and procurement.
  • Ability to engage with external parties such as counsel, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex privacy issues to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
