We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to undertake duties on a high profile aviation project based in west London.

Job Objectives:

  • Manage the sub-programme contract commercial & cost activities providing for the appropriateness and viability of contract commercial information.
  • Support the procurement process to achieve best value by developing optimum delivery strategies into procurement plans and contract awards inclusive of incentivisation.
  • Advice following tendering or negotiations to allow sound decision-making on supplier selection.
  • Manage all post contract commercial activities supporting the implementation of contract changes, red files, instructed work scope change (PMIs), and award fees recommendations.
  • Support contractors in maintaining transparency and data integrity to minimise risks of inaccurate information.
  • Manage the sub-programme potential liability through the timely response to all contractor notifications.
  • Recommendations to approve Applications for payment Proactive management of all contractual issues through to resolution, escalating disputes to client as appropriate.
  • Evaluation of cost impacts of alternate delivery strategies, inclusive of benchmark assessments, prior to their implementation.
  • Support and guidance to the Cost & Commercial team as required.
  • Manage all contract close out activities performed in line with client contractual requirements.
  • Support and encourage the development of appropriate sub-programme working practices.
  • Work in adherence to the appropriate client processes and sub-programme working practices / processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tendering support, procurement support, target price negotiation, tier 2 procurement and commercial management, contract change (EWN, PMI), valuations, payment, disallowable costs, claims all in an NEC environment.
  • Previous airport experience an advantage.
