Role Overview 

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Python Quantitative Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting our trading and market-making systems and working closely with traders and the development team. This work could range from working on core engine strategies to execution layer and data storage and dissemination infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Have ownership, support, and improve existing trading systems and their components. 
  • Ensure that day-to-day trading operations run smoothly. 
  • Continuously monitor and optimize trading engine and associated systems. 
  • Design, implement and support automated trading strategies. 
  • Work closely with traders on their requests and implement enhancements to existing systems. 

 The full set of responsibilities will be defined on the operational basis and individual candidate profile.

Requirements

  • Excellent educational background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.  
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in python-based software development, ideally in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Technical skills:  
    • Proficiency in Python, Rust is a bonus. 
    • Proficiency in Unix based systems and cloud platforms (AWS). 
    • Familiarity with real-time data messaging (Redis, websockets). 
    • Experience with deployment and monitoring tools, e.g. supervisor, dockers, Grafana, Nagios, etc. 
    • Experience with Rest API framework. 
  • Personal qualities:
    • Highly motivated, responsible and responsive  
    • Mature enough to work collaboratively on the existing code base. 
    • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment. 
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong English language competency.  

 

Preferred / Desirable Experience 

  • Experience in the finance or cryptocurrency sectors. 
  • Experience with low latency systems and high-frequency trading environments. 
  • Experience developing data storage and dissemination infrastructure. 
  • Expertise with exchange connectors implementation. 
  • Expertise in SQL, Postgres, as well as non-SQL data warehousing.
