Job Title: Quantitative Developer - Systematic Equities

A newly formed quantitative trading pod is seeking a talented and entrepreneurial Quantitative Developer to lead the buildout of its core trading infrastructure. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of technology, research, and trading, offering the opportunity to shape systems from the ground up and work directly with experienced quant researchers and a senior portfolio manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and scale trading systems for data ingestion, signal generation, backtesting, execution, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with researchers to translate strategy ideas into production-ready code.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of developers and quant engineers.
  • Optimise execution systems and ensure robust data pipelines.
  • Oversee deployment, monitoring, and system reliability.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years building high-performance trading systems, ideally in systematic equities.
  • Strong coding skills in C++ or C#, with Python for research integration.
  • Deep understanding of algorithms, databases, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with market data handling, exchange connectivity, and real-time systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
