Key Responsibilities:

  • Build & Optimize: Develop, test, and maintain high-performance back-end services and APIs that are secure, scalable, and efficient.

  • Work with Data: You’ll manage bothrelational (PostgreSQL, MySQL)andNoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB)databases, creating flexible and reliable data architectures.

  • ☁️Cloud Deployment: Gain hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on top-tier cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with tools likeTerraformandCloudFormation.

  • Champion CI/CD & Agile: Take ownership of theCI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless, automated testing and deployment in anAgileenvironment.

  • Ensure Top-Notch Security & Performance: Implementbest-in-class securityprotocols and ensure systems meet the highest performance standards.


Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Python Mastery: Strong experience withDjangoorFlaskframeworks.

  • API Development Expertise: A proven track record in designing secure, robustRESTful/GraphQL APIsand integrating with third-party services.

  • ☁️Cloud & DevOps: Experience deploying onAWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) andDocker/Kubernetes.

  • Agile Mindset: Hands-on experience in anAgileenvironment, usingGitfor version control and managingCI/CD pipelines.

  • Security & Performance Focus: Skilled at implementingauthentication, encryption, and performanceoptimizations.

Desirable Skills:

  • Serverless & Microservices: Familiarity withAWS Lambda,Azure Functions, ormicroservicesarchitectures.

  • Data & AI: Exposure to big data frameworks,ETL pipelines, ormachine learningapplications.

  • GDS Standards: An understanding ofGOV.UKservice standards andaccessibility principleswould be an added bonus.
