Salary: £47,683+ (Depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
Focus on Project Finance Controls: Emphasis on maintaining and enhancing controls within project finances to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial management
Drive Capability Improvements: Initiatives and strategies aimed at driving improvements in skills, knowledge, and capabilities within the organization to enhance overall performance
Business Support for CAMs/Budget Holders: Providing essential support to Cost Account Managers and budget holders, as well as non-finance functions such as Project Management and Commercial teams
Delivery of Targets: Support in achieving internal and external targets, both financial and non-financial, as necessary to ensure the success and growth of the business
Development Information: Support provided to work towards achieving full qualification in CIMA and other relevant certifications, offering a clear career progression and development pathway
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Part-qualified in CIMA, ACA, or ACCA, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (AAT will not be accepted)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Ability to reprioritise tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
Desirable:
Experience with Power Query and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to analyse and report on financial data
Proven experience in managing and engaging stakeholders at various levels, ensuring alignment on financial objectives and project goals
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and interpret financial data in the context of business strategy and project delivery

BAE Systems Air Sector is a through-life business which delivers advanced military air capability both to our UK and many overseas customers. Air E&I (Europe & International) is responsible for the delivery of our European & International commitments for Typhoon, Tornado and Hawk, including production of aircraft, aircraft capability upgrades, and provision of through life support.
