AudioStack is looking for an experiencedProduct Ownerwith a passion for audio technology and ability to drive forward product development in a complex technical domain. As we create the next generation of audio infrastructure, we seek an individual who can bridge the gap between technology and user needs to ship fast and bring the value of AI into the hands of creative production teams.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our product roadmap and ensuring its successful execution and market alignment. You will join a cross-functional development team and work closely with stakeholders to build exceptional audio solutions that resonate with our users.

Requirements

What You’ll Be Doing :briefcase:

  • You will be joining our audio intelligence team - a cross functional development team comprising audio engineers, machine learning and linguistics specialists, data engineers and a front end developer.
  • You will be in a leading role to shape the future of audio at AudioStack.
  • Articulate and communicate the context and vision for the product, in a way which motivates your teams and brings clarity to your stakeholders.
  • Translate product strategy into user stories that are ready for your team to work on, and plan releases in collaboration with stakeholders to balance short term customer needs with the long term vision.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to define product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Define roadmap and make sure your team are always working on the most valuable thing.
  • Collaborating with other Product Owners to manage dependencies and ensure we're all going in the same direction.

Ideal candidate :clap:

  • Will have at least 4 years' experience as a Product Owner (we will consider other titles such as Product Manager or Business Analyst but it's important that you have experiencebothmanaging stakeholders and breaking down work into user stories for a technical team to work on).
  • A strong technical degree in computer science, data science or a technical audio-related degree.
  • You are comfortable saying no when needed - and are able to help stakeholders see how this benefits them.
  • You understand what makes a design user friendly - you have strong instincts for UX and have experience working closely with designers or even owning design yourself
  • Comfortable visualising your thinking through wireframes and prototypes in Figma, Sketch or Adobe (we use Figma)
  • You love data - we're looking for someone technical with data analysis experience. You are experienced working with an analytics tool such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel or similar (we use PostHog).
  • Will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to connect the dots and see the bigger picture, aligning stakeholders and bridging between engineering and business.
  • A background in audio production - you know how to use a DAW to edit audio and understand the basics of recording. You understand the difference between mixing and mastering.
  • Strong technical understanding of what's involved in developing AI-related software. This isn't a developer role, but you know what a REST API is, the difference between supervised and unsupervised machine learning, and have heard of DSP.

Optional but strong bonus points :white_tick:

  • Experience in machine learning / AI development using Python
  • Experience working with APIs
  • Experience building UIs with Javascript / React
  • Understanding of/ experience using Text-to-Speech providers
  • You have experience bringing speed and agility to industries with more traditional "waterfall" approaches. Our teams mostly work in Scrum or Kanban, but our customers are large multinationals so aligning these approaches is important.
  • Experience working on partnerships including assisting with contractual agreements and managing relationships.
  • Familiarity with music licensing.
