Role: Principal Engineer 

What You'll Do

AirGrid, an MiQ company, is a privacy focused audience platform that leverages machine learning to segment users allowing marketers deliver on campaign performance goals, whilst keeping user data private. As MiQ and AirGrid continue to grow we are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our new team and provide guidance as we look to scale with the business and industry moving forward into a cookieless based world. 

As a Principal Engineeryou'll have the chance to: 

Design of our overall system, which includes; a user facing web application, data processing microservices, hosted machine learning models, a browser based ML SDK and an array of jobs. Help to build resilience into the system by testing and designing in such a way that bugs are reduced. Ensure code is kept easily extendable to allow for a high developer velocity and improved developer experience by the rest of the team. Day to day contribution to features, you will be working on our most critical and challenging projects. Knowledge collection and dissemination across the whole team, through workshops, mentoring and documentation.

What You'll Bring

At least 8 years of experience in various engineering roles. Experience with relational databases such as PostGres. Experience with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift, Athena, Snowflake.Experience building backends using design principles such as Domain Driven Design, Clean Architecture, SOLID, etc.Knowledge of various levels of testing e2e, integration, unit & the tradeoffs between each.Previous experience of designing APIs and full applications from scratch.Good understanding of data engineering concepts.Amazing written and verbal communication.Amazing attention to detail, in communication, documentation & development.
