Join to apply for the Policy & Data Analyst (Housing) role at Cambridge City Council
Overview
We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent attention to detail to provide invaluable support to us while we focus on driving improvements in the Housing Service.
We have been awarded a C2 consumer grade from the Social Housing Regulator, and we are committed to driving the improvements identified during the inspection process. The Policy & Data Analyst will be key to helping us achieve this. To deliver these improvements, good processes and quality data are needed; we are looking for a positive, practical and motivated individual to evaluate and configure policies and deliver accurate data to our stakeholders and the Regulator; identifying inefficiencies and improving processes along the way.
Responsibilities
- Researching the best performing authorities to advise on gaps in housing policy, process and data, and make recommendations
- Developing a Smartsheet policy database, undertaking user acceptance testing, where legislative changes and/or expiration dates trigger a programme of reviews going forward
- Developing opportunities and tools for capturing feedback from service users
- Undertaking process reviews of, for example, how the service responds to complaints and how the service is managing freedom of Information or subject access requests
- Collating, integrity checking and reporting on data from internal information management systems to inform Regulatory returns and internal performance monitoring
You will bring experience, organisational skills and effective stakeholder engagement. While a background in housing is beneficial, we are looking for someone with an insightful approach, a talent for leveraging AI tools and the ability to deliver results at pace.
