Global Markets Generative AI Lab Platform/Software Engineer

Location: Bromley, 3 days per week on site required

Duration: 6-month Contract

Rate: £700.00 - £750.00 per day through umbrella

About the Role

As a Platform/Software Engineer in the Global Markets Generative AI Lab, you will be instrumental in designing and developing the infrastructure for a dynamic AI environment. You will work closely with Sales & Trading, Quantitative Strategies, and Platform teams to create a global AI platform that leverages data for insights and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of complex features, ensuring consistency across the platform.
Package and deliver software, models, and configurations for proof-of-concept use in containerized environments.
Automate processes for software delivery, including testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Define the technology stack, evaluate new tools, and set best practices for the team.
Maintain a central, version-controlled inventory of all environments and configurations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-level solution needs and align technical requirements.
Partner closely with Production Support and Engineering to manage costs and improve efficiency.

Technical Skills:

Proven experience in designing and maintaining end-to-end environments, from proof-of-concept to production.
Expertise in DevOps processes and CICD tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible).
Strong understanding of multi-tier Python-based web applications, containerized (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift) environments, and cloud/on-premises deployments.
Experience with both relational (SQL Server/Oracle) and no-SQL (MongoDB) databases.
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring for GPU/CPU performance and model optimization.
