Microsoft Fabric consultant / specialist - UK role (WFH) - 6 months initial contract - Top rates -

Major consultancy urgently requires a Microsoft Fabric specialist with in-depth experience of MS Fabric (tech stack is Microsoft Fabric, PySpark/RSpark and Github) for an initial 6 months contract (WFH) who is passionate about building new capabilities from the ground up and want to help explore the full potential of your data platform.

As a MS Fabric Consultant you will understand how Fabric fits within a product environment and can guide my client through the complex challenges they are having in this field and are capable of translating their complex requirements into workable solutions. As a MS Fabric specialist you will have the ability to help my client to progress to the next level. This includes assisting with optimising and designing the processes for products involving data-heavy read/write scenarios and also covers effective workspace management and integration between the product, product storage, and workspaces.

You will have hands-on technical ability and experience of building and managing modern data platforms in Microsoft Fabric and ideally be familiar with integrating customer / third-party data into Fabric, possess Product Development Awareness: Understanding how data platform capabilities may integrate into digital products and services. Experience working with or within product development teams is a plus

Technical knowledge and underrating of the following is required:- Data Engineering Best Practices, CI/CD for data pipelines, Modular, testable ETL development, Git-based collaboration and branching strategies, Metadata management and data documentation, Reusability and multi-tenancy in data models and Orchestrating data through medallion architecture or equivalent

You will ideally have strong communication & coaching skills as with MS Fabric as my client is introducing a new technology stack that not all teams are yet familiar with hence your experience will be crucial in helping the delivery and product team get up to speed.

This role can be base UK wide as it's a WFH project.
