This role is onsite, reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.
The Role
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Responsibilities include developing complex data pipelines and data-processing systems to support aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will design, develop, and optimize solutions to tackle technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Integrate data from various platforms and systems (on-prem and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, vendors).
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Engineers, Aerodynamicists to translate requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 5+ years in data engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
- Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills.

- Knowledge of data governance, HPC, instrumentation, live streaming data pipelines, aerodynamic testing.
