Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, expecting the candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Responsibilities include developing complex data pipelines and data-processing systems to enhance aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to address technical challenges and contribute to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large datasets.
  • Integrate data from various platforms and systems (on-prem and cloud).
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency through validation and monitoring.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable code adhering to best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficient in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems management (e.g., SLURM, LSF).
  • Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security.
  • Experience with HPC architecture and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience with live streaming data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with aerodynamic testing practices.
