Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development activities for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will work at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing state-of-the-art solutions to tackle challenging technical obstacles, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do:
- Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Collaborate with data engineers and other teams to integrate data from various platforms and systems (e.g., on-premises and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, third-party vendors).
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data processing workflows for speed and reliability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and presentations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
- Experience with data processing tools like Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
- Knowledge of distributed computing management systems such as SLURM, LSF.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role may be eligible for relocation benefits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
- Experience in the motorsports industry.
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
- Experience with HPC architecture and instrumentation/Data Acquisition systems.
- Hands-on experience with live streaming data pipelines.
- Understanding of aerodynamic testing and practices.
