I am delighted to be recruiting for a Mine Planning Engineer for my valued North Yorkshire based client.

The duties and responsibilities of a Planning Engineer (Mining) will include but not be limited to:

Designs and implements shaft sinking with mechanised SBR technology.

To produce construction methods based on design.

Maintains high level expertise in shaft sinking sector.

Develops solutions to engineering and other field related issues that arise from the execution of project installation activities.

Provide timely and complete resolution to technical questions and requests for information.

Maintain Project As-Built drawings.

Ensures compliance with job specifications.

Health and Safety: Having the authority and responsibility to stop and correct, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor • Responsible for the use and maintenance of all safety equipment, i.e. Lanyards, warning signs and labeling, according to company rules and applicable legislation. Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment. Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.

Experience and the candidate!

Experience using System Applications and Products (SAP) software.

Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.

Experience using MS project, P6 Primavera, MS office, AutoCAD, 3D-Cad, Excel etc.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Data analytics skills and experience.

The ability to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures is essential.

Please note the role is subject to a medical so must be physically fit and ability to pass a safety critical medical and drugs and alcohol screening.

role is Mon - Friday 50 hours per week working either 0600-16.00 or 07:00 - 17.00. Salary circa £58-59k per annum
