Location: Widnes

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 DOE

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Overview:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving measurable, sustained growth in web sales and traffic, while also overseeing the marketing team across the UK and Ireland, supporting both e-commerce and direct sales activity. This is a highly results-driven role, ideally suited to someone with a proven track record in website marketing, data analytics, and digital growth strategy, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a data-driven e-commerce strategy to grow website traffic, lead conversion, and online sales.
Oversee solar product marketing and regional expansion, especially into the Irish market, ensuring brand consistency.
Manage digital campaigns, collaborating with external agencies on SEO, PPC, A/B testing, and CRO efforts.
Monitor performance metrics (e.g., traffic, conversions, CAC, AOV) and provide regular reports with actionable insights.
Align marketing with sales, stock, and seasonal trends to optimise performance.
Drive CRM-based email marketing, audience segmentation, and automation workflows (e.g., re-engagement triggers).
Lead digital content accuracy across platforms (website, NetSuite, etc.) and ensure alignment with campaign goals.
Coordinate marketing calendars and project timelines with internal and external teams.
Improve user experience by mapping digital journeys and streamlining the sales funnel.
Stay current on solar PV marketing trends and contribute to web/system updates that impact the customer journey.
Present marketing strategies and results to senior leadership and participate in cross-functional planning.

Skills & Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience within an e-commerce or digital marketing role with proven ROI results.
Demonstrable success in driving web traffic and increasing online conversions.
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO/SEM strategies, and conversion rate optimisation.
Experience with CRM systems.
Experience working within or a strong understanding of the solar PV or renewable energy industry.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into commercial opportunities.
Proficient in e-commerce platforms and digital sales tracking.
Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple digital initiatives simultaneously.
Experience in A/B testing and applying insights to improve digital performance.
