We’re looking for a talented Marketing Data Scientist to join our Performance Marketing team. This role places you at the heart of transforming how Sage uses data to improve marketing performance, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Working alongside global and regional teams, you will design predictive models, run experiments, and provide actionable insights that will shape our data-driven marketing strategy at scale.

Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in either our Newcastle or Winnersh office.

As a Marketing Data Scientist, you will:

  • Build and deploy predictive models to improve campaign targeting, lead scoring, customer segmentation, and churn mitigation strategies.
  • Apply advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to enhance audience segmentation and optimise conversion funnels.
  • Operationalise models globally, ensuring seamless adoption and maintaining performance benchmarks.
  • Design, execute, and analyse experiments such as A/B testing and uplift modelling to measure and optimise marketing effectiveness.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform marketing strategies and go-to-market decisions.
  • Deliver impactful dashboards, reports, and presentations tailored to stakeholders across different business functions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve marketing data infrastructure, ensuring quality, accessibility, and scalability.
  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in data science or advanced analytics, ideally within marketing or commercial settings.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualisation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for solving business challenges using data-driven insights.
