Overview of the Role
In a world of globalisation and constant innovation, organisations need to stay one step ahead and their business structures are facing an ever-changing technological and socio-economical paradigm. We empower our clients to achieve high performance from emerging technologies and by helping them design and implement their new operating models and structures. With rapid growth across many of our sectors, we are looking for a talented Managing Consultant to join our Enterprise Model and Strategy team.
This role will work across the Enterprise Model & Strategy team, with a specific focus on contributing to the development and leadership of our Commercial Modelling & Business Case capability. In particular, this role will provide subject matter expertise around either strategic portfolio analysis or ERP/Cloud Business Cases and FinOps.
Key expectations from this role include:
Leading the delivery of large and complex projects, working collaboratively with team members and clients to rapidly understand and define business challenges and potential solutions. Develop and present meaningful and practical insights and recommendations, based on a robust evidence-base, and that can stand up to client scrutiny. Build strong, long-lasting client relationships as a trusted advisor at all levels. Coach, develop, and performance manage team members as part of project delivery. Lead the pursuit of business development opportunities for the Enterprise Model & Strategy practice, comprising strategy development & execution, operating model, process, service, and organisation design. Work with colleagues in our sub-brands, including frog on new product and service strategies and strengthen the convergence of design-led thinking, strategy, and operations. Support the growth of the Enterprise Model & Strategy team through engaging leadership and recruitment support across all levels. Applies their strong understanding of current strategic transformation trends to client delivery. Accountability for delivery of strategic transformation projects within Enterprise Model & Strategy and drive the further development of these accounts. Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be expected to generate an expected target revenue for Invent.

We'd Love to Meet Someone With
As a Manging Consultant/Senior Manager, you’ll bring your delivery experience, communication, and stakeholder management skills to support our clients to innovate, develop new strategies, implement changes to their operating model, and future-proof the products and services they deliver. You’ll be responsible for building lasting client relationships, working closely with clients to design and implement new business and operating models, often taking an agile approach. You’ll be working alongside sector colleagues to deliver strategic transformations for the client, from technology implementations that change the way the company operates, to defining a new function that will deliver against their vision. In addition, you will also contribute to the internal development of propositions for our clients and get involved in the running of the Enterprise Model and Strategy team, such as supporting our recruitment efforts, delivering training to fellow colleagues, and developing our market-ready propositions.
You will bring experience of delivering transformation projects from a range of clients and industries as well as an agile mindset, with an understanding of relevant tools and techniques. You will be required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design, and implement new business and operating models. You’ll bring an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations.
In addition, you’ll have some or all of the following experience and personal attributes:
Previous experience of general consulting/management experience with proven experience of delivering strategy/business model/operating model/organisational design work. Specific experience in strategic portfolio analysis or ERP/Cloud business cases and FinOps and the ability to become our subject matter expert in this area Stakeholder management: The ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior management level executives. Strategic thinking: Working collaboratively with team members and clients to rapidly understand and define business challenges and potential solutions. Ability to shape and solve problems using a fact-based approach to drive our insight. Analytical skills: Developing and presenting meaningful and practical insights and recommendations, based on robust evidence, and that can stand up to client scrutiny Developing and delivering solutions: Leading and planning the execution of overall work stream(s) necessary to the delivery of the programme in line with the appropriate methodology. Contribute to the redesign activities of how services should operate to optimise the customer experience by embracing digital capabilities. Commercial acumen: The ability to sell additional resources, shape winning deals and be actively involved in the development of the account. Proven business success: Demonstrated business success defined by clear, measurable business outcomes achieved.

You will be capable of working independently as well as in teams in our collaborative but sometimes demanding project environment.
