You should be innovative and data-centric, have a passion for data and a proven history working with associated data technologies, and love working in fast-paced agile environments. We look for Data Engineers who are keen to learn, progress, and succeed whilst balancing the needs and expectations of our customers.

You will be working as part of a close-knit team on various delivery projects for clients, so you should possess the technical ability to code, test, and implement data solutions within our required associated technologies to help assess, accelerate, and amplify value to the customer. You should be a self-starter, problem solver, and be capable of working within a fast-paced team. You should be able to relay technical information to non-technical audiences and have demonstrable experience of managing, leading, coaching, and developing high-performing technical teams.

How you will do it.

We appreciate technologies are always evolving, but we would like to hear from you if you have solid working, architectural, and platform knowledge of 2 or more of the following technologies:

  • Databricks
  • Dedicated SQL Pools
  • Synapse Analytics
  • Data Factory

To set yourself up for success, you should have in-depth knowledge of the languages Apache Spark, SQL, and Python, along with solid development practices. Additionally, you will be required to have in-depth knowledge of supporting Azure platforms such as Data Lake, Key Vault, and DevOps. Within Databricks, your experiences should include Delta, Unity Catalog, in-depth cluster knowledge, along with performance tuning and debugging.

Why choose Arreoblue?

As a Microsoft, Databricks, and Datometry partner, we have a vast array of training, knowledge, and opportunities within the data industry and technologies. We look to heavily invest in our people and expect this to be a strong presence within our teams and culture.

Pre-Employment Checks for Data Science Jobs: DBS, References & Right-to-Work and more Explained

Pre-employment screening in data science reflects the discipline's unique position at the intersection of statistical analysis, machine learning innovation, and strategic business intelligence. Data scientists often have privileged access to comprehensive datasets, proprietary algorithms, and business-critical insights that form the foundation of organisational strategy and competitive positioning. The data science industry operates within complex regulatory frameworks spanning GDPR, sector-specific data protection requirements, and emerging AI governance regulations. Data scientists must demonstrate not only technical competence in statistical modelling and machine learning but also deep understanding of research ethics, data privacy principles, and the societal implications of algorithmic decision-making. Modern data science roles frequently involve analysing personally identifiable information, financial data, healthcare records, and sensitive business intelligence across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks simultaneously. The combination of analytical privilege, predictive capabilities, and strategic influence makes thorough candidate verification essential for maintaining compliance, security, and public trust in data-driven insights and automated systems.
