We are looking for a highly skilled Junior Quantitative Developer to join our expanding Quantitative team at Euronext FX. As part of this role, you will be sitting next to the Liquidity Management (LM) team and will work alongside senior quants and developers to work on automation projects and further refine our clients’ trading experience. Doing so, you will strongly support our research efforts by developing robust tools, improving the existing ones, and assist in the development of innovative quantitative solutions

The ideal candidate will have strong development skills, with proven track records of successfully delivering complex software development projects. They will also have advanced knowledge of statistical techniques for facilitating the delivery of the robust quantitative analysis they will work on, and assisting in the enhancement of the monitoring and enrichment of the ECN platform’s performances, and in the elevation of the client’s overall experience.

Key Accountabilities

·        Develop a wide range of automation tools to reduce manual intervention, with clearly written and documented code to ensure the  efficiency, the accuracy and the flexibility of the products in the very dynamic FX market environment

·        Continuously work with the team to optimise the performances and the accuracy of the models, by always challenging the input and output data, and by processing the constant feedback from the LM team and our clients

·        Communicate research and development findings, share ideas with the team to foster innovation,  identify opportunities for new ECN features and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our analytics libraries

·        Participate in the research on market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and other factors influencing order flow and execution quality in electronic markets, leveraging both historical data and real-time market information

·        Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in electronic trading and quantitative research, and incorporate relevant insights into our research processes

·        Increase your FX market knowledge and stay aware of the global market trends to get a better understanding of our clients’ needs and help providing them with the best quantitative solutions to suit their needs

·        Ensure constant compliance with governance and regulation, adhering to internal standards and regulatory requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Experience

·        Recently graduated or up to 2 years of experience in a similar role

Education

·        Advanced degree (Masters preferred) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field

·        A focus on financial markets and electronic trading is a plus

Skills

·        Strong proficiency in Python – writing clean, efficient and production-grade code – and experience with large datasets (SQL/no-SQL, kdb+)

·        Knowledge of version control and CI/CD, and real appreciation for writing high quality and documented code

·        Extensive knowledge of quantitative research methodologies, including probabilities, statistical modeling and time-series analysis. Experience in machine learning is a plus.

·        Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

·        Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results

·        Demonstrate a strong interest for FX and financial markets in the context of electronic trading

·        Basic understanding of market microstructure, order flow dynamics, and execution quality metrics in electronic trading environments is a plus
