Role Overview - What is it?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Data Analyst to support the collection, analysis, and reporting of data across our housing operations. You will play a key role in helping the organization understand trends in tenancy management, finance, LA reporting and resident satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of data management and presentation who is passionate about social impact and eager to grow in a supportive environment.

Main Duties - What needs to be done?

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from various housing management systems.
  • Produce regular business-as-usual (BAU) reports to support day-to-day operations and performance monitoring on key metrics (e.g., voids, repairs, support sessions, financial model) and help drive a data-informed culture across the organization.
  • Help keep data guides up to date and create simple step-by-step instructions (SOPs) to support everyday tasks.
  • Work with stakeholders in the business on ad-hoc projects to analyse data and present in an insightful manner.

Competencies - Who with and your skill level?

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Business or IT).
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel and an understanding of data manipulation techniques (e.g., Pivot tables, Vlookups, Power Query, VBA).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Excel charts.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • An interest in social issues, housing policy, or public service.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in or with the social housing sector, local government or a letting agency.
  • Exposure to SQL or Python for basic data querying or analysis.
  • Understanding of data protection principles.
