At RGD Equipment, we’re a UK market-leading supplier of commercial catering equipment – from refrigeration and kitchen furniture to cooking and ware washing system. Their mission is to make catering equipment procurement simple, efficient and hassle-free. As part of our team, you’ll help us unlock insight from sales, operations, and supply data, driving smarter strategies, improving customer experience, and helping us scale.
You’ll work closely with experienced analysts and leaders to develop reports, dashboards, and predictive models – gaining hands-on experience with real business data in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Collect and compile business data from internal systems to create regular reports (sales, stock levels, fulfilment performance, customer behaviour).
- Use Excel techniques such as filters, pivot tables, formulas, and charts to analyse and present data.
- Support with data cleansing activities to maintain accuracy across business systems.
- Identify and present insights and trends (e.g. product performance, seasonal patterns, customer buying behaviours).
- Provide reports to internal stakeholders such as sales, operations, and finance teams to support decision-making.
- Assist with creating dashboards and visual reports for management to monitor KPIs.
- Contribute to business improvements through data-led recommendations.
- Support the wider team with general administrative duties, including filing, updating documentation, and handling internal data requests.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Can use basic tools like Excel or Google Sheets to look at and tidy up data.
- Notices patterns and trends in information and can explain what they mean.
- Grade GCSE 5 in Mathematics & Grade GCSE 4 in English
- Can spot and fix mistakes in data, such as missing or repeated information.
- Communicates clearly and can explain findings in a simple way.
- Works well with others and listens to feedback.
- Manages time well and completes tasks on schedule.
- Understands that data should be handled safely and used responsibly.
