RSMB is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Analyst who has an interest in media research to join their team based in Central London. You will join them on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum entry level; up to £30,000 depending on relevant experience.

RSMB is a leading company specialising in media measurement solutions. We work with a wide range of clients delivering both long-term contracts like Barb (UK TV audience measurement) and RAJAR (Radio audience measurement), and ad hoc projects. We are proud that we have been a Barb TV audience measurement contractor since 1989 and a RAJAR contractor since 2007. Our team of around 50 people are based in Central London, and we are currently operating hybrid working: splitting the week between home and office working.

The Junior Analyst role:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual who has a demonstrable interest in media research and data analysis experience. This role involves supporting our RAJAR contract and working with the Barb client team as and when required. It requires an interest in understanding processes, data and searching for potential issues, so a desire to learn and attention to detail is key. You will report to the Client Account Lead and work closely with the RAJAR Analyst, and the Barb client team. This is a full-time role, with a requirement to work in the office for part of the week.

Key responsibilities as their Junior Analyst will include:

Developing and maintaining a good understanding of RAJAR and Barb processes and data

Working closely with the RAJAR Analyst to run the RAJAR production processes which involves using a number of programmes such as SQL, Power BI, python and excel macros

Analysing quantitative data and independently preparing high-quality reports to the clients’ requirements and delivery schedule, specifically the RAJAR monthly and quarterly industry reporting

Monitoring trends and identification of any changes and potential errors in the survey data being reported upon

Documenting and reviewing processes, with a view to specifying improvements to promote efficiency and continuous improvement

Designing and specifying data investigations and ongoing service delivery reporting analyses to our technology development team

Communicating and presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders

Building and maintaining successful working relationships with clients, co-contractors and with internal stakeholders at RSMB to ensure the smooth running of the services

What they are looking for in their Junior Analyst:

Batchelors degree in a STEM course and/or 2+ years’ experience in a data-driven role

You must be numerate, analytical and inquisitive in nature.

You will have demonstrable experience in data manipulation, with some experience of databases (ORACLE), SQL, python, excel macros or other general programming skills

You will be skilled in presenting data through tables and visualisations

Personal Attributes? 

You will be able to work autonomously, be confident in your abilities and not be afraid to question data

You will be organised, have meticulous time management and be able to plan to meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels

Flexible and adaptable – the needs of the job may change from time to time
