My client is a private healthcare organisation, who are revolutionising specialist medical care by building and operating highly focused clinics in fields such as Endoscopy, Orthopaedics, and Cardiology. They are now looking for an IT Systems Manager to take ownership of our clinical and non-clinical systems, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated, scalable, and secure.

The Role

As an IT Systems Manager, you will:
✔ Oversee the selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT systems across our healthcare network.
✔ Work with Cloud hosting and infrastructure partners to ensure a safe, secure, resilient, and scalable IT architecture.
✔ Collaborate with senior leadership, developers, and third-party vendors to enhance system interoperability and efficiency.
✔ Develop and manage IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
✔ Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal system performance.
✔ Track project costs, manage vendor contracts, and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
✔ Keep up to date with the latest healthcare IT trends, identifying new technologies to improve business operations.

What We’re Looking For

🔹 Degree in Health IT, IT, or Business IT.
🔹 Strong technical background in software development, integration, and system architecture.
🔹 Expertise in Patient Administration Systems (PAS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), PACS, and integration engines.
🔹 Strong knowledge of HL7 V2, DICOM protocols, and clinical terminologies (ICD, OPCS, CCSD, SNOMED).
🔹 Hands-on experience with SQL, REST APIs, and system interoperability.
🔹 Proven ability to manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth delivery.
🔹 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
🔹 Passion for innovation and a drive to improve healthcare through technology.

Desirable Skills (Bonus but Not Essential!)

⭐ Experience in private healthcare IT.
⭐ Familiarity with Compucare 8 PAS & Rhapsody integration engine.
⭐ Knowledge of JavaScript or other coding languages.
⭐ Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
