Our leading Finance Sector Client is undergoing a time of significant growth and transformation as they integrate a recent corporate acquisition. To support these endeavours, they are seeking to hire an experienced IT Infrastructure Team Lead.

Note - this role is based on the Isle of Man, so requires candidates to either be based on the island currently or be open to relocation.

The IT Infrastructure Team Lead will lead the Infrastructure Engineering team, balancing the management of day-to-day operations of both on-premises and public Cloud environments for the organisation globally.The role involves ensuring the smooth running and continual evolution of the infrastructure line with operational requirements and broader IT strategy.

Duties will include:

• Lead and inspire a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and strong team collaboration, ensuring efficient delivery of services
  
  
• Oversee day-to-day operation of both on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure public footprint, ensuring reliability performance and cost-effectiveness, whilst maintaining infrastructure availability through proactive monitoring, maintenance and incident management
  
  
• Contribute to the evolution of technology infrastructure capability to meet future needs.
  
  
• Implement scalable and secure solutions to accommodate new business requirements and technical use cases aligned with the IT Strategy and Roadmap.
  
  
• Manage and coordinate as required, 24hrs support to ensure round-the-clock operational availability of critical infrastructure services, ensuring that all incidents and problems are resolved efficiently and escalated appropriately
  
  
• All resolutions are to be fully documented and knowledge documents updated
  
  
• Ensure adherence to governance, security and operational best practice
  
  
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of infrastructure standards and processes
  
  The ideal candidate for the role of IT Infrastructure Team Lead will have:
  
  
• Proven hands-on experience in management on-premises infrastructure (ideally Nutanix) and Microsoft Azure public cloud
  
  
• A strong understanding of hybrid cloud architecture including managing Cloud costs, using tools such as Azure Cost Management
  
  
• Proficiency in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
  
  
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible for similar to drive efficiencies
  
  
• Strong understanding of infrastructure best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption and patch management with knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SPC 2, or equivalent, would be beneficial
  
  
• Experience in developing and managing disaster recovery (DR) plans and business continuity strategies
  
  
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity and availability
