Join the dynamic International Private Bank (IPB) Digital & Data Transformation (DDT) team at J.P Morgan to deeply understand the advisor workflow, ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risk within a controls framework. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regulatory and Controls Product Manager to join J.P. Morgan's IPB DDT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation, playing a pivotal role in leading the efforts to keeping the business and trading systems compliant across regulations, action plans, audit and best practices.

This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet compliance standards.

Through partnership with the business, advisors, senior leaders, designers, and technologists, the Product Manager will shape the digital controls product strategy and align priorities to ensure we're solving our user's biggest problems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages Regulatory, Controls, Audit and Action Plan asks for the Execute online and offline trading Product providing prioritisation and transparency of the overall book of work
  • Leads the regulatory and controls product prioritisation by owning the prioritisation across all stakeholders and technology teams to ensure focus is on the top priority items for the firm
  • Leads the regulatory and controls product development lifecycle by defining requirements (in partnership with other teams), ensuring sprint inputs (e.g. design and requirements) and outputs (e.g. tested code) are as envisioned, and providing direction and smart trade off decisions for the scrum team. Collaborates with other product and requirement owners and designers to deliver end-to-end product and experience. Partner with Technology to triage issues end to end until full resolution is achieved. Communicate issue resolution to appropriate parties and escalate issue as necessary to ensure proper response.
  • Coordinates Audit requests to ensure timely responses across product and technology partners
  • Manages partner engagement by communicating updates to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Defines strategy, operating model, and roadmap to achieve vision and business goals . Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for regulatory and controls solutions, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Owns and drives the Regulatory and Controls product roadmap to meet business goals and provide a leading user and product experience. Partners with leadership, stakeholders, developers and UX designers to identify improvement and enhancement opportunities within the existing pre-trade checks framework. Prioritizes and defines each feature to meet business goals, while also meeting control requirements.
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with delivery partners including senior leaders, Digital, Technology, Design, Operations and Control functions across the International Region.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics or other related discipline.
  • Vast experience in Product Management/Development, Strategy or Business Analyst role and/or with experience in wealth management, asset management, digital banking, with a focus on regulatory and compliance solutions. or a closely related business leading strategic or transformational change.
  • Proficient knowledge of control management concepts with the ability to design, enhance, and evaluate operational controls frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable product features.
  • Strong understanding in trading, brokerage and/or discretionary products.
  • Extensive experience in managing product delivery across multiple work streams with varying timelines, priorities and complexities, and experienced in launching new products to market.
  • Sound knowledge of different technological development methodologies (e.g. Agile) and design techniques with ability to successfully lead regardless of approach.
  • Dynamic team player who is self-motivated, possesses strong interpersonal and project management skills, showcasing the ability to proactively engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority to drive our business agenda and operate with strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a concise and meaningful way.
