Our team consists of highly-skilled cross-functional consultants, analysts, and support staff.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and ideally some experience working with AWS cloud-based data services. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to support enterprise data warehousing, analytics, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica to support data integration and transformation needs.
  • Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data from various sources including on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines and data integration processes between on-premises systems and AWS cloud services such as S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue, and Lambda.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and BI developers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across platforms.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and performance tuning for ETL jobs.
  • Support production deployments, monitoring, and incident resolution.

    Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in ETL development using Informatica (PowerCenter and/or IICS).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling (dimensional/star schema), and data integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, or RDS.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation and orchestration.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as JIRA, Git, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
  • Experience migrating on-premise ETL processes to the cloud.
  • Knowledge of Informatica Cloud integrations with AWS.
  • Exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

    Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus structure.
  • Join a rapidly expanding start-up where personal growth is a part of our DNA.
  • Benefit from a flexible work environment focused on deliverable outcomes.
  • Receive private medical insurance through Aviva.
  • Enjoy the benefits of a company pension plan through Nest.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays.
  • Access Perkbox, a global employee rewards platform offering discounts, perks, and wellness resources.
  • Participate in a generous employee referral program.
  • A highly collaborative and collegial environment with opportunities for career advancement.
  • Be encouraged to take bold steps and embrace a mindset of experimentation.
  • Choose your preferred device, PC or Mac.

    Diversity & Inclusion:

Here at Amber Labs, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace for all. Our commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion includes:

  • Valuing the unique experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds of all employees and creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued.

  • Prohibiting all forms of harassment, bullying, discrimination, and victimisation and promoting a culture of dignity and respect for all.

  • Educating all new hires on our Diversity and Inclusion policies and ensuring they are aware of their rights and responsibilities to create a safe and inclusive workplace.

  • By taking these steps, we are dedicated to building a workplace that reflects and celebrates the diversity of our employees and communities.

This role at Amber Labs is a 12 Month salary based FTC position, and all employees are required to hold BPSS. Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.

    What Happens Next?

Our Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch to advise you on the next steps. We have a two-stage interview process for most of our consultants. In certain cases, we may include a third and final stage, which is a conversation with the company Partners. This will only be considered if deemed necessary.
